We appreciate your considering donations to The Ministry of Caring that are eligible for tax credits that are great news for individual and business donors.

What donations are eligible?

Gifts of just $2,500 from an individual or $10,000 from a business qualify for 50-percent state tax credit under the program – up to $50,000 a year per taxpayer.

How does it work?

Tax credits come through the Delaware State Housing Authority and federal Neighborhood Assistance Act, with limited funding set as a lump sum for the state – allocated in the summer to donors on a first-come, first-served basis until the funding is all claimed. The early birds get the state tax credits reserved and approved, so we encourage you to donate today!

Why give now?

The sooner you give, the faster you get tax credits reserved for distribution after July and the faster your much-needed, deeply appreciated support helps us assist the most vulnerable in our community.

Where does my donation go?

Our programs are exactly what the Neighborhood Assistance Act was created for – uplifting the homeless and poor – and you get to select which of our eligible programs receives your generosity:

• Child Care Center
• Mary Mother of Hope House I
• Mary Mother of Hope House II & III
• House of Joseph I

These tax credits are a great reward for your generosity – just like the smiles of our Emmanuel Dining Room guests, the little ones in our childcare sites and our women/children and men’s shelters.
